Monica’s journey began as a student organizer at Michigan State University, where she developed a deep passion for activism. She graduated from MSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Humanities, leveraging her academic background to fuel her dedication to social justice causes. Driven by her commitment to racial justice, economic justice, and gender justice, Monica has consistently worked to center and uplift the lived realities of marginalized communities. In her previous role, she served as a mentor to youth organizers on college campuses across Michigan, empowering the next generation of leaders to effect impactful change in their communities. Now, Monica brings her wealth of experience and unwavering passion to the Soul Team, where she is excited to collaborate with members and colleagues to build energy democracy.
