Know Your DTE Consumer Rights
COMMUNITY EVENT
Wednesday, April 3, 2024 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET
Calling all Highland Parkers: Are you having trouble with affording your DTE bill? Not getting any real support? Feeling like your rights as a customer have been violated? Come to the Homework House for a Ratepayer Clinic Wednesday, April 3rd 6-8pm at Avalon Village (24 Avalon Street Highland Park, MI 48203)!
During the clinic you’ll learn how to navigate and get support with past-due DTE bills, shutoffs, and other issues — and to learn about YOUR RIGHTS as a DTE customer. Community volunteers will work with you one-on-one to assess your issue, see what affordability programs you’re eligible for, and help you with applying!
Food & childcare will be provided. Hosted by community members of the Dismantle DTE campaign, the Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition & Soulardarity. With free legal information and consultation from the Sugar Law Center for Social & Economic Justice.
Be sure to bring your most recent DTE bill. Additionally, if you have a MIBridges account please locate your login information (email connected to account, username, and password). Coming with those items prepared will ensure we can swiftly support you.
RSVP asap, as space will be limited to ensure everyone can get the support they need.
See you Wednesday, April 3rd 6-8pm at Avalon Village (24 Avalon Street Highland Park, MI 48203)!
