SUMMARY:Support the Solar Ordinance: Highland Park City Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:During the last City Council meeting\, the final voting of the city’s new solar ordinance occurred. This ordinance opens the door for safety and sustainability in Highland Park – allowing for solar solutions & more in the city. Beyond that\, it also allows for investments in the city to occur by way of grants & more – one of which is proposed at $2.5 million for new streetlights. When the vote came down\, it ended in a stalemate of 2 v 2 due to one council member being absent. \n\n\n\nWe need your help to pack the room at this next city council meeting to let our representatives know that we are in STRONG support of passing this ordinance and ACCEPTING these funds that would better Highland Park! Workshop for city council begins at 6PM\, the meeting begins at 7PM with opportunity for citizen comment (limited to 2 minutes). Let’s let this city council know how we feel – that we need this solar ordinance and these funds! SHARE the flyer below with all you know!
