Descending on East Lansing\, join hundreds of climate activists and grassroots and green organizations for a day of invigorating panels (featuring your Soul staff members!)\, keynote speakers\, and more!\n\n\n\nEarly bird tickets are $75 for general admission\, and $35 for students and they do have needs-based admission. General admission is $85 beginning May 2\, and $100 at the door.. SUMMARY:Customer Advocate Interest Form
DESCRIPTION:Soulardarity in partnership with Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition and the Sugar Law Center is looking for those willing to rise up against DTE and provide direct\, important\, and necessary resources to their communities affected by DTE. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Customer Advocate is a person who participates in trainings centered around helping residents\, neighbors\, and anyone who is a customer of DTE know their rights\, understand and mitigate situations (ie wrongful shutoffs\, property damage\, confusing bills\, etc)\, how to file complaints against DTE and the MPSC\, and how to apply for relief programs. This person after being trained would be able to 1) share this knowledge in their own community and circles and 2) participate in Consumer Rights Clinics\, to be scheduled in 2026 & 2027 to invite DTE customers to get real-time\, hands-on assistance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are still in the process of building out the curriculum\, scheduling the trainings\, and more. However\, this is an interest form that lets us know when the trainings start\, YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF HELPING PEOPLE DEAL WITH DTE & YOU’RE IN TO HELP US ORGANIZE AGAINST THEM!
