SUMMARY:Customer Advocate Interest Form
DESCRIPTION:Soulardarity is looking for those willing to rise up against DTE and provide direct\, important\, and necessary resources to their communities affected by DTE. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Customer Advocate is a person who participates in trainings centered around helping residents\, neighbors\, and anyone who is a customer of DTE know their rights\, understand and mitigate situations (ie wrongful shutoffs\, property damage\, confusing bills\, etc)\, how to file complaints against DTE and the MPSC\, and how to apply for relief programs. This person after being trained would be able to 1) share this knowledge in their own community and circles and 2) participate in Consumer Rights Clinics\, to be scheduled in 2026 & 2027 to invite DTE customers to get real-time\, hands-on assistance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are still in the process of building out the curriculum\, scheduling the trainings\, and more. However\, this is an interest form that lets us know when the trainings start\, YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF HELPING PEOPLE DEAL WITH DTE & YOU’RE IN TO HELP US ORGANIZE AGAINST THEM!

DESCRIPTION:Our first action together is to get FIRED up and let off some SMOKE by getting together for a BILL BURNING PARTY! Join us as we collaborate with the Center and meet up at their Art & Sound Park for bonfires\, Afro beats\, burn some DTE bills\, and find out how to organize TOGETHER for true affordability for our communities\, and more information on our upcoming customer advocates! Join us on Oct 16th from 6-11PM at 6659 Clifton St Detroit\, MI. Share the flyer\, and we’ll see you on Oct 16th! \n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: \n\n\n\nPlease bring a COPY of your DTE Bill\, or use one of our symbolic bills at the event.  \n\n\n\nBill burning is a symbolic action. Burning a paper copy does not cancel\, reduce\, dispute\, or otherwise change your DTE bill or account balance. Please keep your original bill and any records you may need. \n\n\n\nFire safety is of the utmost importance to our community. There will be a fire steward on site\, as well as fire safety measures to keep the event fun AND safe.
